The preparation of the Regional Biodiversity Management Master Plan (RIP) is a strategic agenda to ensure that biodiversity management at the regional level aligns with national development directions. The Regional Biodiversity RIP becomes a key instrument to integrate protection, sustainable utilization, and biodiversity governance into regional planning documents, in line with the mandate of Presidential Instruction No. 1 of 2023 on Mainstreaming Biodiversity Conservation in Sustainable Development. The preparation of the Biodiversity RIP requires a cross-sectoral collaborative mechanism, as biodiversity is an issue that crosses administrative boundaries, ecosystems, and involves many stakeholders.
